JUST KEEP SWIMMING! Pixar have FINALLY officially announced the long-awaited follow up to Finding Nemo. That shit is not only one of Pixar’s best films, but one of the best animated films ever made. Finding Dory will swim in to New Zealand theatres December 2015.Ellen Degeneres announced her return as the “friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish” on Twitter, linking to an Instagram of the new film’s logo and announcing the title Finding Dory. The film, previously titled Finding Nemo 2 will explain why Dory was all alone in the first place in Finding Nemo. Director Andrew Stanton says the film will be set one year after the events of the first movie and feature many of the original characters, as well as some new ones .
“I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” Ellen said in a statement released by Disney. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”
Finding Dory will hit cinemas worldwide in 2015.
